We hosted a cookout on September 1, 2009 for all the new pledge classes of all Greek organizations on campus to come find out what UGA HEROs is all about. It was a huge success! |

HERO Kickoff 2009 |
GOOOO HEROs, sic ‘em! September 9 was the start to our fundraising for Fall 2009, and the event was fantastic! It was our first big meeting with all of the new HERO philanthropists who signed up in August. Each philanthropist met their fundraising team and their “Team Leader.” They learned all about HERO; How did HERO get started? Where does the money go? How can I raise money? Coach Mark Richt always inspires the crowd as he shared with our new members why he got involved. Thank you to Coach Richt and everyone who helped with the Kickoff! |

On the weekends of October 17 and 24, HERO members spread out across the state at Kroger and Wal Mart locations They asked for donations while raising awareness about our cause. Both weekends raised thousands of dollars for UGA HEROs! Way to go, Special Events Committee! |
