Freshman council is a group of philanthropists that have ‘that extra something.’ These philanthropists feel strongly enough about our cause to go the extra mile by raising a minimum of $250.00 dollars (instead of $150.00) and by planning their very own event for HERO in the fall. The Council is its own committee, fully equipped with funding in order to budget their own event. This event is a fundraiser that is created, organized, and executed solely by the Freshman Council. Members have freedom to apply their creativity to produce an original and fun-filled event to raise money for the HERO children. The best part is that you are still on a team with the other 1,000+ philanthropists, but you also get a more intricate opportunity on Freshman Council!
What’s the BIG Deal?
Freshman Council is not only a great opportunity to exercise your originality, expand your social network, and to discover your endless capabilities, but also get a closer look inside HERO. By being on Freshman Council, you can be given the opportunity to attend committee meetings and even Executive Officer meetings. We are looking for the BEST leaders from the freshman class and it is a huge honor to be a part of Freshman Council. These experiences are priceless in what they can teach you about leadership, dedication, and most of all, passion. Through Freshman Council, you will gain a much deeper connection to our children, hear their stories, and find motivation to commit yourself to this amazing organization.
