Community Relations Chair

Why HERO: I’m involved with HERO because it’s unlike anything I have ever been a part of before. I was never really aware of how widespread HIV/AIDS truly was in Georgia until I came to Athens. HERO informed and impressed me with its passionate members and the quality of life care it offers for its children. The members of the Executive Board and everyone who is involved are the ones who inspire me every day to continue working for this great cause.
Goals: As the Community Relations chair for 2011, I want to continue raising awareness for UGA HEROs within the greater Athens community. I will work to keep the Board of Advisors involved and passionate about this great organization. Along with the rest of the External Family, I’d like to get local business signed up for yearly fundraising campaigns to keep all of Athens informed with HERO happenings. |
