Why:I joined HEROs because I was really drawn to what they do. I’ve always worked with organizations that help people with HIV, but I love the fact that HEROs focuses not only with kids who are infected, but kids who are affected. The second I joined, I felt so involved and welcome that I knew I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s such an amazing organization and an even more amazing cause, how could I not choose HEROs?/p>

Goals: My goals for HEROs are to just make sure that every inch of campus is aware of our great organization and that everyone feels like they are making a difference, no matter how big or how small their contribution may be. If people don’t feel like they’re doing anything worthwhile, then I feel like I am not doing my job right. When I first joined HEROs, everybody made sure I felt like I was making a difference so that is my goal: I want to help people feel like they are making a difference. Every little bit helps and HEROs really showed me that. I want to inspire students by showing them how much they can help these amazing children who inspire me every day.

Why:I chose to be a part of UGA HEROs to have an impact, to make a difference, and to change lives. I wanted to make an immediate impact in my direct community, and as someone from metro Atlanta it only made sense to join an organization whose majority of help goes right into the Fulton County area. Knowing I am helping to increase the quality of life for children affected by HIV/AIDs is one of the most rewarding opportunities I have ever experienced./p>

Goals: As a co-chair for Campus Development, my goal is to inspire the vision within my peers. I plan to ignite the same passion I have for this organization in the students living on campus so that they may become inspired to join the cause. Residence Halls may be the priority, but nowhere on campus is safe from what Campus Development has in store for this year.
