"Heather is the definition of ballin'. This past semester, she has worked tirelessly with businesses getting them interested in donating supplies to events for HERO. Not only has she continued to remain a leader on the In Kind Committee, but is also a great team leader. Heather Zimmerman is a baller." -Spenser Brady |

"Katherine King... My PR ALLSTAR! She simply amazes me. She not only came up with the idea of hosting our first ever HERO 5K but took care of every detail and helped plan and delegate jobs for the entire event. The event turned out great! She is motivating and inspiring. Dont know what I'd do without her!" -Kate Larson |
There Are Many Ways to Be a HERO
UGA HEROs depends entirely on the dedication of our collegiate members to raise money throughout the year. One of the unique aspects of our organization is that it is entirely student-run on campus.
UGA students can be as involved as they choose; our membership is grouped into different levels of participation and commitment.
In the Fall, membership starts off with signing up philanthropists, our most basic but most important group of fundraisers! They are led by Team Leaders, who work during part of the Spring and Summer to prepare for signing up new philanthropists each August.
In the Spring, any philanthropist can apply to be a committee member on one of our thirteen committees. From there, especially dedicated committee members can apply to be on the UGA HEROs Executive Board. Each level of membership involves various fundraising goals and meetings.
